There seems to be this ongoing pursuit of a higher salary. More money means more status and more happiness because you can buy more things, right?
Well, you might be surprised to know that a Gallup survey found that the magic dollar figure for happiness was $75,000. Any more than that, and happiness does not in fact increase.
But what you may be interested to know that what does make a difference to happiness levels is HOW you choose to spend the money you make.
Money can buy you happiness – when you choose to spend that money on others!
