The world of the job hunt has significantly changed to what it was even 5 to 10 years ago.

CareerBuilder has put together this awesome infographic to detail the new profile of today’s job-seeker. A few major take-home pieces from this:

Profile of a Job Seeker: 7 out of 10 candidates are either actively searching for a new role or are open to new opportunities. Whilst 69% say that searching for a new job is part of their regular routine.

Generational Difference: 83% of the Millennial generation are willing to move for the right job, as opposed to 58% of Baby Boomers.
Discovering Opportunities & Research: Most research is done prior to the candidate applying for the job, in fact, social networks are most popular.

A new job is now like a major purchase and is rated as a more important life decision than buying a car, moving states or returning to study.
