We tend to take our lives for granted. As humans, we’re not thankful for our health, for example, until we get sick.
Similarly, it’s a norm for us not to be thankful for the time that we have on this planet. As humans, we live each day assuming that there will be the next, and we tend to ignore the thought that the time we have to do something with our lives is relatively short.
Perhaps if we thought for a moment about just how unlikely it is that we got this chance at life, it would make us value it more?
